Upon arriving in Aswan, your first stop will be at the Temple of Philae, a picturesque landmark in Aswan. The temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, is reached by a short motorboat ride. Then continue your tour with your guide to the High Dam. After the tour, check in to your Egypt Nile Cruise.

Philae Temple

Philae Temple is located in Aswan on an island in the Nile River and is one of Egypt’s most beautiful ancient temples. It was dedicated to the goddess Isis and was completely relocated to Agilkia Island after the construction of the High Dam to save it from flooding.

High Dam

The High Dam is located in Aswan, southern Egypt, and is considered one of the most important engineering achievements of the 20th century.
It was constructed between 1960 and 1970 to control the flooding of the Nile River, store water, and generate hydroelectric power.
The dam protects Egypt from floods and droughts and created Lake Nasser, one of the largest artificial lakes in the world.

After having your breakfast in the hotel, visit the Karnak and Luxor temples. Karnak temple is not a mere temple; it is a complex of temples. Luxor Temple was once connected to Karnak Temple through the Avenue of Sphinxes with ram-headed statues. In Cairo, explore the Citadel of Salah el-Din and the Mosque of Mohamed Ali. After this, visit the Coptic churches, and enjoy an interesting tour to Khan El Khalili, the biggest and oldest market in Cairo. Feel the warmth and hospitality of the locals while sitting with your guide and having a drink at the oldest coffee shop in Cairo: El Fishawy (1710). Although the market was once the best place for shopping and buying authentic Egyptian souvenirs, nowadays it is rare to find them, but your guide will advise you on what to do there. Ask your guide about the bargaining traditions in the market for an enjoyable experience.

The Citadel of Salah el-Din

The Citadel of Salah el-Din is located in Cairo and is one of the most significant Islamic and historical landmarks in Egypt.

The citadel is famous for its historic mosques, such as the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, its massive walls, and its panoramic views of Old Cairo.

The Mosque of Mohamed Ali

The Mosque of Mohamed Ali is located inside the Citadel of Salah el-Din in Cairo and is one of the most remarkable examples of Islamic architecture in Egypt.
It was built between 1830 and 1848 by order of Mohamed Ali Pasha in memory of his son Tusun.
The mosque features an Ottoman-style design inspired by the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, with its high domes and elegant minarets, and offers a stunning view over the city of Cairo.
