You will enjoy an interesting Cairo day tour to the Egyptian Museum. You will be captivated by the most famous and largest art collection in the world. The treasures found in King Tutankhamun’s tomb are the top attractions among the exhibits. Your private live guide will explain the highlights and give you the chance to have some private free time to explore more of the museum, and you will then visit the Royal Mummy Room, which contains the mummies of great kings and queens of Ancient Egypt.

The next visit will be to the Coptic churches. Start your tour with the 1,500-year-old Hanging Church, built on top of one of the towers of the Babylon Fortress.

You will then go to the Cavern Church, named so because beneath the church there is a cave where baby Jesus and the Virgin Mary hid for 3 months to escape King Herod. Abu Simbel

The Abu Simbel Temple is one of the greatest ancient Egyptian monuments, built by King Ramses II in the 13th century BC to honor himself and his wife, Queen Nefertari. The temple is famous for its massive rock-cut statues and was relocated in the 1960s to save it from Lake Nasser’s rising waters.

After having your breakfast, visit the Karnak temple and Luxor temple. Karnak is not a mere temple; it is a complex of temples. The walls, columns, pylons, and murals relate the glorious history of the Pharaohs. With your private guide, you will be provided with full information about this great place of worship of the cult of Ra. In the evening, tour the Luxor temple that was once connected to Karnak through the Ram-headed Sphinxes Avenue. Your guide will pick you up at the Giza station upon arrival. Today, explore the Citadel of Salah el-Din and the Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Next, visit the Mosque of Sultan Hassan. Construction began in 1356 and was completed in 1361. It is named after Sultan Hassan, one of the minor sultans of the Qalawoon dynasty. The mosque follows the Mamluk architectural style of the 14th and 15th centuries and is considered one of the finest religious monuments in Cairo and Egypt in general. During your visit, your guide will provide you with detailed history of the mosque’s main elements, such as the mosque itself, the madrasa (school), and the mausoleum.

After this visit, enjoy an interesting tour of Khan El Khalili, the biggest and oldest market in Cairo. Feel the warmth and hospitality of the locals while sitting with your guide and having a drink at Cairo’s oldest coffee shop: El Fishawy (established in 1710). Although the market was once the best place to shop for authentic Egyptian souvenirs, they are now rare, but your guide will give you advice on what to do there. The Citadel of Salah el-Din

The Citadel of Salah al-Din (Saladin Citadel) is located on Mokattam Hill in Cairo. It was built in the 12th century by the great leader Salah al-Din to protect the city from Crusader attacks.
The Citadel is one of the most important Islamic landmarks in Cairo, housing several mosques and museums — the most famous being the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, a true symbol of the city.

Mosque of Mohamed Ali

It was built by Muhammad Ali Pasha in the 19th century in memory of his son Tusun Pasha and stands as a magnificent example of Ottoman-style Islamic architecture.
The mosque is known for its large domes, slender minarets, and beautifully decorated marble interiors. It is one of Cairo’s most recognizable landmarks, visible from many parts of the city.

Sultan Hassan Mosque

Sultan Hassan Mosque
The Sultan Hassan Mosque is one of the most magnificent Islamic monuments in Cairo. Khan El Khalili

Khan El Khalili is located in the heart of Islamic Cairo, near Al-Azhar Mosque, and is one of the oldest markets in the Middle East, dating back to the 14th century.
The bazaar is famous for its narrow alleys filled with shops selling antiques, jewelry, perfumes, spices, and traditional handmade crafts.
Khan El Khalili is a popular tourist destination that blends history with the vibrant atmosphere of old Cairo, and it is also known for its traditional cafés such as the historic El-Fishawy Café.
