Fly to Aswan and check in on the Egypt Nile cruise. With your Egyptologist tour guide, visit the highlights of Aswan. Your first stop will be at the Temple of Philae, a picturesque landmark dedicated to the goddess Isis, reachable by a short motorboat ride. Then, visit the High Dam in Aswan, built between 1960 and 1970, providing the country with water storage for agriculture and development. Later, during Aswan day tours, visit the Unfinished Obelisk and the granite quarry. This obelisk remains in its original location due to a discovered crack. Had it been erected, it would have been the largest in Ancient Egypt, reaching a stunning height of 42 meters. High Dam

The High Dam in Aswan is one of the most important engineering projects of the 20th century, built to protect Egypt from floods and regulate the Nile’s waters. The dam generates electricity and expands agricultural land, serving as a symbol of Egypt’s modernization and development. It is approximately 3.6 km long, over 110 meters high, and overlooks the man-made Lake Nasser.
